Features of PracticeTracker.com

PracticeTracker allows your students to communicate regularly with you between lessons. Students can describe their practice session each day or ask questions about their assignment, and you can respond. Students that use PracticeTracker engage more during lessons and practice more effectively.

Student features

The Practice-o-meter increases each time a student posts an entry. You can also boost the Practice-o-meter to reward good practicing.

The Goal Post allows students to set their own objectives. They’re asked to write a first step to acheive in the next day, and reminded a day later by email.

PracticeTracker’s music player exposes students to classical or jazz while they journal.

“The Practice-o-meter motivates me to practice more.”

– Evan, age 11

The PracticeTracker robot sends students a reminder email when they haven’t posted in a few days.

Students can select a face to describe their mood when they post.

Teacher features

A student roster displays your schedule and allows you to email students directly. You (or your students, if you choose) can enter assignments and amend them at any time.

Practice Tips allow you to provide advice beyond the lesson to all your students.

You can post announcements to your entire studio, and automatically email them to students and parents.

Today’s students presents assignments and posts for each day’s students. If you teach away from your computer, you can print this out for reference. PracticeTracker archives your announcements, practice tips, and assignments.

“I am getting to know my students better as they use this system. My students are excited about using PracticeTracker and I have already seen a lot of progress as a result of them writing down their practice details.”

– Anita Pontremoli,
